How to Unlock Toji in Anime Vanguard

Welcome to this step-by-step guide on unlocking Toji in Anime Vanguard! Follow each section in order and you’ll have him on your roster in no time.

Step 1: Complete Story Mode to Shibuya Infinite

Play through the main story until you reach the Shibuya Infinite chapter. Progress until you face and defeat Transfigured Mahito in Stage 6. This grants you the essential Cursed Worm item.

Step 2: Defeat Jogo in Legend Stage B

Level up to at least level 10, then enter Legend Stage B and complete the Sand Village Double Dungeon. Defeat Jogo—this is the next required boss.

Step 3: Beat Sakuna in Legend Stage Act Two

Head to Legend Stage Act Two (not Infinite Stage) and defeat the Sakuna boss to continue your progression.

Step 4: Defeat Doon in Shibuya Act One

Return to the Shibuya stages and conquer Act One, where you’ll face Doon. This is a straightforward fight but mandatory before moving on.

Step 5: Revisit Shibuya Act Six

Go back to Shibuya Act Six and defeat Transfigured Mahito again. This ensures your Cursed Worm requirement is fully satisfied.

Open your Items menu, select the Cursed Worm, and click “Sacrifice.” This ritual unlocks the path to facing Toji.

Step 7: Defeat Toji in Shibuya Act Two

Return to Shibuya Act Two and face Toji, the Revive Sorcerer. He’s not overly difficult—clear the stage to officially unlock him.

Step 8: Achieve 5,000 Raid Takedowns

Finally, enter Raid mode and accumulate 5,000 total takedowns or kills. Once you hit this milestone, Toji will begin dropping as an unlockable unit.
