Slap Battles is a fast-paced combat game where the core mechanic is exactly what it sounds like — you slap other players to earn currency, then spend that currency to unlock new gloves. Each glove comes with its own unique ability, turning you into a chaos agent in a match full of other players doing the same thing.

The game is intentionally wild and unpredictable. Some gloves are ridiculously overpowered, others are gimmicky, and that's part of the fun. Let's get you ready to jump in.

Starting Your First Match

  1. Join a server — you'll spawn into a chaotic arena with other players.
  2. You'll start with a basic glove equipped by default.
  3. Look around and get your bearings. Shift lock is strongly recommended because it lets you move and look around separately, which is crucial in a fast-paced slapping game.
  4. Your goal is simple: slap other players and survive.

Basic Controls and Mechanics

Attack: Use your mouse to aim and click to slap. Your glove will strike in the direction you're facing. The goal is to hit other players.

Ability: Press E to activate your glove's special ability (mobile players have a dedicated button on-screen). Some abilities are passive and trigger automatically, while others require you to press E to use them.

Movement: Use WASD to move around the arena. Jump with Space to dodge attacks and navigate the terrain.

Camera: Enable Shift lock in your settings — it makes aiming and moving much easier by letting you look around while keeping your movement direction separate.

💡 Tip — Shift lock is not just helpful, it's nearly essential. Enable it immediately before you join a match.

Earning Slaps (Currency)

Every time you slap another player, you earn slaps — the game's currency. The more you slap, the more currency you accumulate. You'll see your slap count in your inventory.

Slaps are the only way to unlock new gloves, so grinding matches and landing hits is your primary goal early on.

Gloves and Abilities

Gloves are what make Slap Battles chaotic and unique. Each glove has special properties:

  • Passive abilities: These work automatically without you doing anything extra. You just equip the glove and the ability is always active.
  • Activated abilities: Press E to trigger these. They have unique effects — some knock enemies back, some give you invincibility, others change how your slaps work.

As you earn more slaps, you'll unlock new gloves in the shop. Each glove costs slaps to unlock. Experiment with different gloves to find playstyles that work for you.

💡 Tip — Some gloves are chaotic and overpowered by design. Don't get frustrated if someone one-shots you with a legendary glove — that's Slap Battles.

The Core Game Loop

  1. Spawn into a match with your currently equipped glove.
  2. Run around and slap other players to earn slaps.
  3. Use your ability (press E) strategically to gain an edge or escape danger.
  4. Avoid getting slapped yourself — stay mobile and use your ability defensively if needed.
  5. When you die or the match ends, you'll keep the slaps you earned.
  6. Return to the shop and spend slaps to unlock new gloves or try new loadouts.
  7. Repeat with a new glove to discover what works best for you.

Early Game Tips

Master movement first. In a game where everyone is slapping, mobility keeps you alive. Keep moving, jump to avoid attacks, and use your ability to escape when cornered.

Land your slaps. You earn slaps by hitting, so practice your aim. Click when enemies are close enough that you're sure to connect.

Learn your glove's ability. Don't just slap mindlessly — understand what your current glove does when you press E. Is it a knockback? A teleport? A damage boost? Use it to your advantage.

Unlock gloves strategically. You don't need to unlock every glove immediately. Try a few different ones to see which playstyle feels best, then focus on those.

Stay in matches. The longer you stay alive and keep slapping, the more slaps you earn. Don't ragequit — farm your currency and upgrade to better gloves.

💡 Tip — Slap Battles is intentionally unbalanced and chaotic. Some gloves are way stronger than others. That's the joke. Enjoy the madness instead of getting upset about it.

Important Rules

The creator takes hacking and exploiting very seriously. Any form of cheating will result in a permanent ban from Slap Battles. It's not worth it — just play the game as intended and have fun with the chaos that's already built in.
