The 2015 Christmas Gun Box is a historic weapon crate from Murder Mystery 2's first Christmas event. Unlike most weapon boxes, this one contained only guns—no knives or other weapon types. Today, it's unobtainable, but understanding its contents helps collectors appreciate early MM2 history and the rarity of its weapons.
What Is the 2015 Christmas Gun Box?
This was one of the first Christmas weapon boxes ever released in Murder Mystery 2. It had a special place in the game's history because it was the first (and last) Christmas event box to feature only a single weapon type: guns. The box was designed as a festive gift-wrapped present, modeled after a Roblox hat asset.
All weapons from this box are now completely unavailable—the event ended in December 2015, and no reruns have offered it since. This makes every gun from this crate extremely valuable to collectors.
How to Obtain It
You cannot obtain the 2015 Christmas Gun Box anymore. It was available only during the Christmas Event 2015, which ran from December 14–19, 2015 (official release) with early access before that date.
During the event, players could purchase boxes using Gifts (the 2015 Christmas currency):
- Before Dec 14: 75 Gifts per box
- Dec 14–19: 30 Gifts per box
Today, the only way to get weapons from this box is to trade with other players who own them. Since these guns are no longer in the game's economy, trading prices are determined entirely by collector demand and rarity.
All Weapons & Rarities
The 2015 Christmas Gun Box contained 11 different guns across six rarity tiers:
| Weapon Name | Rarity |
|---|---|
| Santa | Common |
| Elf | Common |
| Ornament1 | Common |
| Ornament2 | Common |
| Nutcracker | Uncommon |
| Snowman | Uncommon |
| Wrapped | Uncommon |
| Ginger | Rare |
| Cane | Rare |
| Tree | Legendary |
| Sugar | Godly |
Sugar is the rarest weapon from this box. It's a Godly-tier gun, and the exact unboxing chance for Godly weapons is unknown. The other standout rare guns are Tree (Legendary) and the two Rare-tier weapons: Ginger and Cane.
Key Tips for Collectors
- Historic value: Any gun from the 2015 Christmas Gun Box proves you played during MM2's earliest seasons. These weapons hold significant prestige.
- Trading only: Your only path to ownership is finding players willing to trade. Check community Discord servers and trading hubs for availability.
- Rarity matters: Godly and Legendary tiers command the highest prices. Even Common and Uncommon variants are valuable compared to newer event weapons, simply because they can never be obtained again.
- No rerun expected: Murder Mystery 2 has released new Christmas event boxes every year, but Nikilis has never re-run past holiday events. Plan trades accordingly.
