DOORS is a horror game built around opening doors and surviving what's behind them. The creator, LSPLASH, recommends going in fresh — but a few smart moves will help you last longer and understand the game faster.
Learn From Each Death
The game is designed so you learn by dying. Don't restart frustrated. After each run, think about what went wrong: Did you miss a sound cue? Move too slow? Get caught off guard? Each death teaches you something about the threats ahead, and that knowledge sticks with you.
Use Headphones and Max Graphics
DOORS relies heavily on audio and visual cues to warn and scare you. Wear headphones — sound is crucial for detecting danger early. Set your graphics to maximum so you can see details clearly. Both of these make a real difference in survival.
Prepare for Loud Sounds and Flashing Lights
The game includes sudden loud audio and bright flashing effects. If you're sensitive to either, adjust your volume beforehand or take breaks. The warning is there for a reason.
Join the LSPLASH Group
Joining the official LSPLASH group gives you a free Revive. A Revive is a second chance during a run, so this is a direct power-up for beginners. It's free and takes seconds.
Buy UGC for Knobs and Revives
The game offers user-generated cosmetics (UGC) that you can buy and wear. Equipping these gives you Knobs and a Revive. Knobs are the in-game currency, so this is a way to start with resources. This is optional but helpful early on.
Explore the VISIONS Tab
Check out the VISIONS tab — it holds special event modes, including April Fools 2026 content. These are fun variations on the base game if you want a break or a different challenge.
