Animal Hospital (Anomaly) puts you in the role of a night shift veterinarian. Your job is to treat the animals that come through the hospital doors. But here's the twist — some of these patients aren't acting like normal animals.

Understanding what you're dealing with is the first step to becoming a skilled vet in this game.

What Are Animals

Animals are living creatures that have some core traits in common. They breathe oxygen, have muscles, and move around on their own. Unlike plants, animals can't make their own food — they eat other living things to survive. Most animals reproduce sexually, meaning two animals are needed to create offspring.

Animal Diet Types

Animals fall into three main eating categories based on what they consume:

  • Carnivores — eat meat and other animals
  • Herbivores — eat plants and vegetation
  • Omnivores — eat both plants and meat

In Animal Hospital, knowing an animal's diet might help you understand their behavior or what they need during treatment.

Animal Body Symmetry

Animals have different body shapes. Some animals are bilaterally symmetric, meaning they have a left and right side that mirror each other (like humans and dogs). Most animals are radially symmetric, meaning their body parts arrange around a central point (like starfish or sea anemones).

💡 Tip — Pay attention to how the animals in the hospital are shaped and moving. Their body structure might give you clues about what kind of treatment they need or what's causing their odd behavior.

What Makes Them Anomalous

The animals you treat in this game aren't all behaving normally. Some of your patients will act weird or unpredictably. That's what makes the night shift interesting — and challenging. Stay alert and adapt your approach as you figure out what's really going on with each patient.
